Money Advice for the Mum to Be

Welcome to the Mum to Be Club. This special section of The Mums Guide to Money is dedicated to money matters for the Mum to be.

However, if your new arrival is already here, your specialist topics are over in the New Mums section.

Bringing a baby into the world can be a challenging financial experience. That is why I have written my top tips. Reduce the overwhelm and plan for your new arrival these helpful tips.

As an accountant and Mum of three, I understand the money issues faced by Mums to be. Both of my maternity leave experiences were financially very different. The first was a short one thanks to Statutory Maternity Leave (SMP). And the second one was financially very difficult as I had twins and a four-year-old. Everything I write in these blog articles is based on my own experience and how I dealt with the challenges I was faced with.

Let’s get one thing clear from the start – the articles in this blog won’t teach you how to change a nappy or get a baby to sleep. However, these articles are my top tips to financially prepare you for having a baby.

You can suggest blog topics for me to cover on my Facebook Page here.
